Review
This rural horror flick equals the
Hollywood style of making horror movies.
The story is not a usual one as it's based on a true incident.
Director Milind handled each scene with
perfection and takes them to the next level. He proves that he is the assistant
of Maniratnam Sir. Though screenplay is slow in some scenes, it doesn't make us
feel bored. Hats off to the Director!
Andrea and Siddharth. The love sequences
between them are simply awesome. Lip-lock scenes and other romantic portions
make us feel, whether it is a Tamil movie or something else. Yeah, there are
some adult content too. And, moreover their acting is too good.
Co-actors too had done their job well.
First half : little Horror :: Second half :
more Horror
The real heroes of ‘Aval’ is its technical
crew, comprising music composer Girishh, cinematographer Shreyaas Krishna and
the person who's responsible for the fantastic sound design.
As
opposed to Mysskin’s ‘Pisasu’, what's amusing about ‘Aval’ is that, most of the
shots are at mid-level.
It's terribly scary sometimes, especially
the scene, when the housekeeper uses a voodoo doll.
And, the sound designers of ‘Aval’ got
appreciations from Richard King, sound designer of our well-known Christopher
Nolan.
Good job, Team ‘Aval’.
Overall, if you are a Hollywood movie lover,
some scenes will remind you of Insidious, Exorcist, and Conjuring, etc. If you
ignore them, ‘Aval’ is worth the watch.
Blurb: A complete horror movie with a new
storyline.
