Review
  • Director H.Vinoth
Hearty Congratulations, H.Vinoth!
I didn't expect this movie from him, after "Sathuranga Vettai". A complete transformation, Different genre, Different team, and Different thoughts...
The film is based on a real incident, which is unfurled at the end credits of the film.
The interpretation of historical events, tribal criminals and police investigation deserves huge round of applause!
The real procedures followed inside the police department were brought to the notice of the public.
Dialogues were fantastic, especially the dialogue of the thieves at station, describing how they do their job, makes us burst into laughter.
Baradwaj Rangan, award-winning critic, stated that the movie is 'intense and well-researched cop thriller', which is absolutely true and everyone would say, after watching this movie.

  • Actor Karthi
Suriya : Singam :: Karthi : Theeran
After Rathnavel IPS (from 'Siruthai'), it's Theeran Thirumaran!
A strong, dedicated and intelligent cop, who is cop+ve by his blood, can overpower anyone easily.
Karthi switches between two modes - Rough cop and Soft husband.

  • Actress Rakul Preet Singh
Welcome to Tamil Cinema!

  • Co-actors
Bose Venkat as Sathya, a helping hand for Theeran throughout his mission.
Abhimanyu Singh as Oma, and his gang, were ruthless, merciless, terrific and horrible characters.
Police officers who played the roles of Vijay Rathore, Nazeer, and others well-suited to their characters.
Manobala and Sathyan were able to bring laugh in some places.
A grandma, who narrates her life to Theeran in hospital and a small girl, who hid under the bed made their presence known.
Some characters like Haram Singh, the man who gives information for Theeran, and the helping police assist from Rajasthan will come to our mind, when we think of the movie.
Casting choice is appreciable!

Technical team
  • Cinematography
In one scene, you will visualize sun coming closer to the moon, which is actually the head light of a motorcycle and back light of a car, a creative shot for sure!
The sun rise and set were shot beautifully.
The crime scenes were covered with more detail.
Great Job, Sathyan Sooryan!

  • Editor
The first half of the film raced to the intermission within the blink of an eye.
Second half looked a bit lengthy, but much needed half.
The time-line of events were displayed with appropriate frames.
Kudos to Shivanandeeswaran!

  • Art Direction
The crime scenes, Police quarters, Training grounds, and Painting scenes were directed well by Kathir.

  • Music
Ghibran carried out the film with his raging BGM.
He increased and decreased the tempo at regular intervals in the first half, and that bar didn't come down in the second half!
The songs were like unavoidable speed-breakers in the racing highway.

  • Stunts
Dhilip Subbarayan delivered some real life punches here and there.
Two words for describing the stunts performed in the movie - "Fire flares"

  • Animation
The animations created for displaying Historical events and Criminal tribes were too good and came out with flying colors.
Hats off, Animation team!

Thanks to the police officers, who provided their shoulders for the film crew.
The entire crew of the movie deserves salutations..!
The wait begins for Adhigaram Irandu...

Blurb: The real cop stuff in a reel!
