This raw, bloody, gangster flick will give you a detailed answer in just 166-minute life in Vada Chennai itself!

Review
The rawness begins right from the opening of the movie, where some people hold the blood-stained knives with human flesh on it!
The movie was soaked into violence, blood and filthy dialogues, which are the necessary elements for the story and the locality, where the film belongs!
In this movie, women are no less to men, when it comes to bad words and the fury!
Award-winning performances from Andrea and Aishwarya, who are the women of Vada Chennai!!!
The title card says, "Dhanush in Vada Chennai", and I was surprised with that, as the film's casting crew contained big names like Samuthirakani, Kishore, Ameer, Daniel Balaji, Radha Ravi, and so on.
But, at the end, Dhanush justifies, why it is his Vada Chennai!
The Vada Chennai wouldn't have so impressive, without the support of its supporting actors.
Everyone of them is a precious gem in this beautiful crown jewel, designed by Vetrimaran!
In one particular scene, Kishore's thumb-finger nail breaks and the blood oozes out, which makes us to feel the pain of the character, and that's the perfection in direction!
The inclusion of some historical events were interesting and it merged well with the story.
The political comments made by the characters in the movie were simply straight-forward.
The carrom tournament, that held in the prison reminded me of Ayub's memorial cock-fight tournament from 'Aadukalam'.
The costumes and properties were designed well to match-up with the timeline.
Jacki's prison setup looks like a real one!
Santhosh Narayan's BGM haunts us and it linger in our ears, even after we come out of the theater!
Each and every songs were placed according to the prevailing situations of the story.
Velraj's camera made our eyes to feel the movie and showed this dark movie darker.
The Editor used the white screen, instead of black, for a change, to switch between the past and present scenarios.
There were enough twists and turns, that had its own moments.
The fight sequences were little filmy, but the weapons used were like the real stuff!
No other actors can be imagined in this well-fitted crew!
Overall, Vada Chennai turned out to be an unforgettable gangster saga!
The wait begins for 'Anbuvin Ezhuchi'...
