Story

Characters
- Miguel, the young Mexican kid, budding Musician, who entertains with his songs and tunes from his guitar .
- HéctorMam, the great great grandfather of Miguel, who abandoned the family for music, is most-hated person in the family.
- Ernesto de la Cruz, Miguel's hero, actually, hero-cum-villain, is the greatest Musician in Mexico. His dialogues reminded me of Eminem's "Lose Yourself".
- Mamá Imelda, the great great grandmother of Miguel, who liked music, but, later hated it along with Héctor (her husband).
- Abuelita Elena, Miguel's grandmother, who hates music, and never let anyone play music.
- Mamá Coco, Miguel's great grandmother, daughter of Héctor, who is the elder-most member of Rivera family.
- a friend of Héctor, a music lover, who is on the verge of dying.Chicharrón,
- Dante, a street dog, faithful friend of Miguel.
- And, the rest of the members from Rivera family, etc.

#A mixture of feelings
The characters of this movie, expressed their feelings beautifully!
Especially when Mamá Coco and Miguel sing 'Remember Me', it will force us to wet our handkerchief.
Ernesto de la Cruz is portrayed as the symbol of self-pride.
Mamá Imelda scores in a scene, where she sings a song with de la Cruz before a huge crowd.
When Abuelita Elena slaps a Mariachi with her shoe, that particular scene, depicts Abuelita's strong hatred for music.
When Chicharrón dies, after hearing a song, a complete silence prevailed for some seconds.
In another scene, When Imelda stops Miguel from going to de la Cruz, Miguel stands between two choices - either Family or Music. That scene was well-made and crucial one for the movie.
#Mexican culture
When in Rome, do as the Romans do!
In case of this movie, it's Mexico and Mexicans !
Lee Unkrich took us on a short trip to Mexico and introduced us the traditions and rituals followed there.
The words like Ofrenda, Mariachi, Alebrije were taught to us, in the way, it is pictured.
The Mexican touch was given to the costumes, foods, apparels and everything, possessed by the characters.

The characters travels between 'Land of the Living' and 'Land of the Dead'.

In Land of the Dead, the gliding Alebrije, the bridge connecting the Land of the Living and the Dead is filled with Mexican Marigold, the walking skeletons, lighting used in Sunrise Spectacular show and Cenote, colorful buildings, and much more will capture your attention.
