Jio to Launch 100Mbps JioFiber Broadband With 1.1TB Monthly Data



  • Mukesh Ambani-led Reliance Jio has begun offering fibre to the home (FTTH) broadband connections with 1.1 terabytes (TB) of free data at speeds of 100 megabits per second (mbps) in select markets in the country.
  • Data benefits of 1.1TB at a speed of up to 100Mbps.
  • Initially, the customers will get 100GB of high-speed data and will be able top-up with packs of 40GB of free data up to 25 times a month. These incremental packs total out to 1,000GB (1TB). Along with the pre-allocated 100GB, it sums up to 1.1TB of data benefits each month.
  • Expected to roll out services in the second half of 2018.
  • Users will also get access to premium Jio applications like JioCinema, JioMusic, JioCloud, JioSecurity etc. Along with FTTH services, Jio might also roll out its internet protocol television (IPTV) service.
  • Customers will be required to pay a refundable security deposit of Rs. 4,500
