Review

*No Spoilers*
  • Vijay Chander delivered a movie which is entirely different from his previous one, Vaalu.
  • Some messages can be said orally, either at the beginning or end of the movie. And, this is one such a message. But, the way he conveyed this social message through an engaging movie is appreciable one.
  • The dialogue delivery and the timing counter are the biggest strengths of the movie.
  • SS Thaman’s BGM is electrifying and a much needed spice for this action feast.
  • Vikram shoulders a heavy burden in this movie, a one-man show! He doesn’t look like a 50+ man at all. His romance, fight sequences, hanging around with friends remembered me of ‘Gemini’. Age is just a number for Vikram!
  • Tamannah played a cute role, which she played in ‘Vengai’ and ‘Kalloori’ earlier. But, this movie would find a spot in the list of movies, where Actress does not have an essential part!
  • The friends of Sketch, Set Ji, Police Inspector, Villains (especially ‘Royapuram’ Kumar) were the perfect choices for casting.
  • The romantic portions could have either lessen or avoided in this movie, which were the deliberate speed breakers in such a racing screenplay.
  • The songs sounded pleasant to the ears, especially ‘Kanave Kanave’ and ‘Vaanam Thoorammalae’, but the songs were unnecessary for the movie. It is good, if the crew of the film released the video songs separately, without including them in the movie.
  • The stunt sequences steered the movie in the top gear.
  • Every sketches sketched by Sketch were well-planned, especially the killing of ‘Royapuram’ Kumar.
  • The pulse-rate watch, vintage car of Villain, cigarette used by Sketch were some of the attention grabbing objects from the movie.
  • The climax twist was unpredictable and simply superb!
  • The crew cooked a usual dish in a different flavor.

Blurb: Vijay Chander’s Sketch is good, but looks partially executed!
